Pre-Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I am a Pre-Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I earned my Master’s degree in Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. My undergraduate education was at Moscow State University (BS/MS, 2005) and my doctoral degree in biochemistry (Ph.D., 2011) is from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My goal in therapy is to help my clients to attain healthy relationships with themselves and others and having satisfying work or other pursuits of happiness that is part of their path. My clinical approach can best be described as eclectic and focused on the needs of the individual I am working with. I help clients learn to make connections between their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors to enact change in their lives. I teach clients ways to cope in a safe and healthy manner and to improve relationship skills. I always take special care to tailor the treatment approach to each individual. I work with adolescents and adults, as well as individuals, families and enjoy conducting groups in a variety of settings. I have experience treating clients with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, unresolved trauma, and addictions. I strongly believe that non-judgemental listening helps people better hear themselves, better understand their wants and needs, feel their personal boundaries, empower them to find their voice to speak their truth, find their passions, and become the best version of themselves.
