Neuropsychological Assessment Externship

Practicum students receive supervised experience in diagnostic interviewing, test selection and administration, interpretation of findings, report preparation, and communicating results. Each student will be taught administration and scoring of neuropsychological tests through direct observation and practice.

Training opportunities include individual cognitive rehabilitation experience with adults with emotional, neurodevelopmental, neurodegenerative issues.  Group therapy opportunities include cognitive rehabilitation groups and support groups for healthy older adults.

In addition to individual case supervision, training will occur through didactic seminars, case presentation and group supervision.

Particular strengths of the training program include emphasis on case conceptualization and differential diagnosis, exposure to a wide range of both, neurologic and psychiatric conditions, and intensive training and feedback in report-writing.

The program is coordinated by Irene Piryatinsky, Ph.D. The clinical case material, supervision, and conferences are designed to provide a broad introduction to clinical neuropsychology and to prepare the student for further specialized training in the field. Clinical experience in neuropsychology is desirable but not required.

To apply, please submit the following materials to Irene Piryatinsky at info@npevaluation.com
